JUST IN:Traditional rulers in Imo scamper for safety as gunmen abduct two,set palaces ablaze 

Gunmen on Sunday abducted two traditional rulers in Okigwe in what could be described as the latest onslaught of palaces in the state.

The gunmen also set ablaze the palaces of their captives making other traditional rulers in the state to run for their dear lives.

Last Friday,the traditional ruler of the Ancient Atta Kingdom in Njaba Local Government Area of the state,Eze Edwin Azike was murdered after gunmen abducted him from his palace on Thursday.

In October, gunmen in their vehicles and motorcycles, stormed a meeting of monarchs in same Njaba Local Government Area and gunned down two traditional rulers leaving others to escape with gushot injuries.
