The mother of a former governor of Edo State, Mrs Maria Oredola Igbinedion on Thursday died at her home in Ugbo,Benin City.
The deceased who was 83 and unfortunately confined to a wheelchair, was said to have been killed by one of her maids hired to attend to her needs.
The maid allegedly strangled the octogenarian to death, searched her home and then dissappeared with jewelry and other valuables she stole.
