The National Executive Council NEC of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP has endorsed zoning of the position of National Chairman to the North

The party however threw the contest of the office of the President open to all
This was made known by the National Publicity Secretary of the party,Mr Kola Ologbondiyan while briefing reporters after the NEC meeting on Thursday in Abuja.

The Party’s zoning commitee headed by Governor of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi had recommended zoning of the national chairman to north but said its term of reference did not include zoning presidency and principal offices in the legislature.
