Police release names of officers killed by gunnen suspected to be IPOB Terrorists 

The Rivers State Police Command has released the names of officers killed on Friday by gunnen suspected to be members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB.

The police operatives were attacked and killed at different locations with their weapons carted away.

The officers are:

CHOBA C4i:

  1. ASP JUBIRIL ADAMS
  2. NSP GEORGE MATTHEW
    WITH TWO AK47 SNATCHED,
    PATROL VAN SET ABLAZE

AT RUMUJI:

  1. ASP NELSON AZUMA
  2. INSP FRIDAY OYEGHE
    TWO AK47 SNATCHED,
    A PATROL VAN SET ABLAZE.
    THE TWO OFFICERS WERE BEHEADED WHILE ONE EMEKA AMADI SPECIAL CONSTABUL SUSTAINED BULLET WOUNDS ON HIS CHEST

AT ELIMGBU:

  1. ASP IBRAHIM OTTEH
  2. ASP OKORO AZUKA
  3. INSP BASSEY PAULINUS
    WHILE SGT OLUCHUKWU EMEHURU SUSTAINED BULLET INJURIES.
    FOUR RIFFLES STOLEN.
    THEY CAME WITH A HILUX VAN WHICH THEY LATER ABANDONED AFTER A COUNTER ATTACK AT RUMUJI BY SOLDIERS FROM ELELE BARRACK.
    THEY ESCAPED WITH A STOLEN SIENNA BUS.
