The Federal Ministry of Health says there are no fake vaccines available for sale or being administered by any unauthorized institution .
The Ministry’s disclosure was in reaction to a letter it received from the Presidential Task Force PTF on Covid-19 stating the arrest of about 3,000 doses of fake Covid-19 vaccines which were Africa- bound from China.
A statement signed by Dr Adebimpe Adebiyi, Director, Department of Hospital Services on behalf of the Minister of Health said that the Federal Government took adequate steps to forestall importation of fake Covid-19 vaccines into the country.
According to the statement, the Nigeria Customs Service ( NCS) had designated the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja as the only Port of Entry ( P o E)for imported Covid-19 vaccines
