
The Independent National Electoral Commission( INEC) has released the results of Saturday’s byelection for Aba North/ South Federal Constituency declaring PDP candidate, Chimaobi Ebisike as winner.
According to INEC’s Returning Officer, PDP’s Ebisike polled 10322 votes to beat his closest challenger, Mascot Uzor- Kalu of APC.who scored 3674 votes.
Akaraka Destiny of APGA came a distant third with 1,554 while AA scored 199 votes,APM 10 and 13 votes recorded for MRM.
The byelection was conducted to fill in the vacancy created by the death of Ossy Prestige
The late lawmaker was elected on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA.
