A member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo state,Dr Fatai Aborode has been assassinated.
Aborode who was the House of Representatives candidate of the Accord Party in 2015 general elections was said to have recently defected to the PDP.
The deceased was Chief Executive Officer of Kunfayakun Green Treasures Limited and was attacked by a gang of four armed men along with his Manager.
The Manager reportedly fled the scene with gunshots but Aborode was robbed and killed.
The Oyo Police Command said the victim was robbed and killed.about 1750 hrs of Friday along Apodun road Igangan.by four unknown gunmen.
The Command’s Spokesman,Gbenga Fadeyi said the victim was rushed to Olugbon hospital where he was confirmed dead adding that efforts are on to arrest the fleeing assailants
