
Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed has said that the federal government is in the process of getting $750 million loan to mitigate the impact of covid-19
According to her, the loan will be channeled to the local economy and support vulnerable households.
Ahmed who disclosed this at the inauguration of the Federal Steering Committee of the Nigeria Covid-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus programme in Abuja ,stated that the consequences will be too high if the root cause of rising civil unrest in the country is ignored adding “We must therefore, fashion out ways of ensuring that post Covid-19 is not injurious to the Nigerian people and the economy.”
