Bandits on Monday, attacked the convoy of the Zamfara State Commissioner of Security and Home Affairs, Abubakar Dauran , killing his driver on the spot.
The Commissioner was reportedly on his way from Katsina after handing over 26 kidnapped girls rescued by the Zamfara State government to the Katsina State government when the incident occurred.
The girls were kidnapped by bandits in Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State and were taken into the forest of Zamfara State where they were discovered by the state government and got released after negotiation with the bandits.
