Attempt by lesbians who participated in the ENDSARS protest to raise their flags for recognition were rebuffed and some who could not stand the humiliation angrily left the venue.
Their placards were reportedly destroyed by other protesters who asked them to either take off their flags or leave the venue.
The Nigerian government had on January 14,2014 , signed a bill into law crimialising same-sex relationships.
The act also criminalises homosexual clubs,associations and related practices.
The act under the former president, Goodluck Jonathan also imposed 14 years prison terms for people prosecuted under the law
