Buhari increases number of years of service from 35 to 40,approves special salary scale for teachers

President Muhammadu Buhari has increased the number of years of service from 35 to 40 and approved retirement age of teachers from 60 to 65..
The President has also approved a new salary scale for teachers in the country.
Buhari announced this in Abuja on Monday during the celebration of the 2020 World Teachers Day.
The President who was represented by the Minister of Education,Adamu Adamu, said the implementation of the new salary scheme was to encourage teachers in delivering better services.
The 2020, World Teachers Day has as theme” Teachers leading in crisis, reimagining the future.”
