Police arrest APC chieftain for allegedly hitting a chair on the head of fellow partyman 

A former member of the Oyo State House of Assembly,,Wasiu Akimmoyede Lafioye who represented Lagelu State constituency in the 8th Assembly has been arrested for hitting a chair on the head of a leader of the All Progressives Congress APC and former member of the House of Representatives ,Remi Adebayo

Akimmoyede Lafioye who was a former Chief of the state house of Assembly was said to have assaulted the former house of Representatives member during a meeting of APC elders in the local government area.

A source under anonymity said trouble started when an argument over those who have left the party ensued between the two former lawmakers, the disclosure did not go down well with Akimmoyede who grabbed a chair and hit him on Adebayo’s head.

He was reportedly arrested yesterday by officers of the Osun State Police Command led by a Superintendent of Police.

He was reportedly released on bail with an ultimatum of 11 days within which to settle out of court or face prosecution.
