Many residents of Kukawa town in Kukawa local area of Borno State, who returned to their community were reportedly killed and many seriously wounded by Boko Haram Insurgents.
The Insurgents are also said to have hoisted Islamic state flag in the community.
The Army had last week claimed that it mopped up operations in Kukawa and Baga towns to make them safer for returning residents
The latest report indicated that there was no plan by the Army to adequately secure the community after its clearance operations in the area.to properly secure the area.for returning residents.
There are growing fears that Boko Haram have become more resistant and residents may wait for a long time to go back to their communites if nothing is done to secure their lives.
