The Proprietor of Winners Comprehensive Hugh School,Jalingo, Taraba State,Danlami Shamaki was on Sunday killed by unidentified gunmen.
The deceased was said to be returning from Abuja in his Toyota Jeep at about 5 pm with three other passengers when they ran into a group of armed men between Danacha and Sabongida village in Gassol Local Government Area of Taraba State..
According to reports, the gunmen on sighting the vehicle, suddenly pushed a wheelbarrow to slow down the vehicle before opening fire.
It was gathered that the gunmen shot the proprietor ,who was sitting on the front seat on his forehead while the driver managed to escape with other passengers in the vehicle.
The school proprietor was said to have died instantly and his remains deposited in a morgue.
Although the police in Taraba are yet to confirm the incident, a family source confirmed the killing to newsmen.
