Doctors under the aegis of Medical Guild are beginning a 4 day warning from 8 am on Monday.
The chairman of the guild, Dr Oluwajimi Sodipo however said that the strike would exempt their members working in Covid-19 isolation centres .
Sodipo said that the strike became neccessary in view of government’s refusal to meet their demands which include Hazard and inducement allowances, harmonisation of existing disparity between federal and state medical workers and payment of salaries of Doctors working in isolation centres.
According to him, the doctors working in isolation centres are being owed 2 months salaries and are unceremoniously discharged without recourse to their Welfare.
