
Residents of Orlu, Imo State were thrown into confusion and mourning on Tuesday as an Okada rider was shot dead by a Policeman for refusing to pay N50 bribe.
It was learnt that the police had asked the 27year old okada rider to give him N50 for refusing to wear a face mask which he refused.
Apparently angered by his refusal to pay the N50 bribe, the policeman pulled the trigger on him, killing him instantly on the spot.
The incident which it was learnt occurred at 3pm in the afternoon, drew widespread public criticism against the Nigerian Police Force.
The Force is yet to make a statement regarding the incident.
