The Nigerian Army says it has commenced reorganisation of its operations to stamp out terrorism in the country.
This was the outcome of a meeting of top Military officers presided by the Chief of Army Staff, General Burutai.
Speaking to Newsmen on Monday, The Acting Director, Nigerian Army Public Relations, Col Sagir Musa said that the meeting was called for the purpose of intensifying stringent actions against terrorists and collaborators.
Col Sagir quoted General Burutai as saying that the criminals and their sponsors must be exposed and destroyed.
He added that the Army had through its gallant soldiers recorded significant victories but the persistent kidnapping and killing by the terrorists in the North undermine the efforts of the soldiers
President Muhammadu Buhari recent gave marching orders to serving Chiefs to perform their duties as rising cases of insecurity in the country was unacceptable.
