The Independent National Electoral Commission,IINEC has concluded elections into the six area councils Area councils in the Federal Capital Territory FCT declaring candidates of the All Progressives Congress APC winning five of the councils.

The election in Kuje which took a long time to be concluded due to reports of collation officers going to the wrong direction eventually had a winner in Hon. Samuel Danjuma Shekwolo of the APC.
For Kwali,INEC declared Hon. Nuhu Daniel Kwali of the APC as winner.

Meanwhile, some analysts have described the FCT election as a representation of the 2027 general elections. .
In social media outlets, some users have blamed the failure of parties like the Action Democratic Congress ADC and the Labour party for not showing enough strength and internal harmony.
They claim other factors as infighting, ethnicity and intolerance as reasons for the APC clean victory, while some others raised concerns that the outcome of the FCT election would appear to replicate the 2027 general elections.
