Onyinye Chime 25, has allegedly killed her husband,Eleyi Azubuike 29 for asking her to abort her pregnancy.
The incident took place on Ochiagha street, Nkpor,in Idemili Local Government Area of Anambra State.
According to reports, the deceased had suggested that Chime delayed the pregnancy which she often rejected . Her refusal made the husband to equally stop giving her money for her upkeep.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Haruna Mohammed,who confirmed the incident, said report of murder of one Eleyi Azubuike 29 was made to the Ogidi division of the state police command .
He said, detectives attached to the division were immediately deployed to the scene of the incident,where they found the victim in the pool of his blood.They took him to Iyi Enu missionary hospital where he was confirmed dead by a medical doctor.His corpse has been deposited in the hospital’s mortuary for autopsy.
The Police Spokesman said an examination of the corpse revealed stab marks on the chest and a blood stained kitchen knife at the scene of the incident was recovered as exhibit.
Haruna added that Investigation on the matter is currently ongoing ongoing .
