A former Federal Lawmaker and Spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP Campaign Council,Rivers State,Mr Ogbonna Nwuke along with other notable personalities were conferred with awards for excelling in services to the state.
Governor of Rivers State,Nyesom Ezenwo Wike gave the awards on Saturday at the Banquet hall , Government House,Port Harcourt.
The awards conferred are the Grand Service Star of ,Rivers State ( GSSRS) and the Distinguished Service Star of Rivers State ( DSSRS).
Categories of Awards at the well attended ceremony include the Public Service Awards for Former and Outgoing governors, Members of the State Executive Council, Members of the Legislature ( Federal and State) Judiciary, Local Government and others who served the state in various capacities.
Governors honoured included ,Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi state Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, Jigawa Governor,Badaru Mohammed, Kaduna state governor,Nasir El- Rufai, Former Ekiti state governor, Kayode Fayemi, Former governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari , former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswiill Akpabio and the Sir Siminilayi Fubara, the incoming governor of Rivers State.
