No fewer than three persons of Okeho community in Kajola Local Government Area of Oyo State and a Policemen,have lost their lives following a clash between the Police , Local Hunters.and vigilante group
According to reports, trouble started when residents of the community insisted on killing a robbery suspect caught alive while the policemen were bent on rescuing him and taking him to custody
The suspect was among the fleeing gang of armed robbers who attempted to rob a new generation bank in the Okeho community on Wednesday using dynamites.
It was gathered that four of the robbers were killed by hunters and angry mob who burnt their remains.
The hunters were said to have pursued the other two robbers that escaped and while one was arrested alive, the corpse of another injured,was recovered from the bush..
The Oyo State Police Command is yet to issue a statement on the incident.
