The Police in Enugu State have confirmed the disappearance of a police woman after Unknown armed men on Saturday evening attacked the Police Divisional Headquarters Umulokpa in Uzo- Uwani Local Government Area of the state.
The Police Public Relations Officer Of the State Police Command, Daniel Ndukwe who confirmed the development in a statement explained that the assassin’s in their numbers, attacked and vandalized vehicles and other items at the police station.
Ndukwe said the Commissioner of Police in the state, Abubakar Lawal led a team of senior police officers and commanders of the command,’s tactical and operational units to the scene
He added that the police commissioner also ordered the State Criminal Investigation Department and tactical teams of the command to intensify ongoing efforts to locate the missing policewoman and apprehend the assailants.
Current matters gathered that the residents of the community are apprehensive of what the disappearance of the policewoman would cause them as many are said to have fled the area.
