Several Islamic Scholars who were invited to the residence of Senator Abdul’aziz Yari in Talata Mafara Zamfara State on Saturday, September 12,2026 have reportedly been abducted by bandits
Yari,a former Governor of Zamfara State is the Director General of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council.
Those reportedly abducted include:
- Imam Yahuza, First Jumma’at, Dogon Madacci
- Magawata Abdullahi, Second Jumma’at, Dogon Madacci
- Malam Shehu Dakko
- Imam Bala Fagon
- Na’ibi Tasi’u, Tungar Nagudai
The clerics were reportedly at Senator Yari’s residence for a prayer gathering. They had travelled from communities in Bakura and Talata Mafara LGAs.
According to an X user,”The development is extremely disturbing, especially considering that they were reportedly gathered at the residence of Senator Yari, a former Governor of Zamfara, a serving Senator and the Director-General of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 presidential campaign.
“At a time when insecurity is already putting enormous pressure on communities across Zamfara, this raises serious questions about the safety of even ordinary gatherings.
‘If people can be abducted while attending a gathering at the residence of a prominent political figure, then where exactly are ordinary citizens supposed to feel safe?
