Reps Minority Leadership Seat: Video Alleging Agbese Signing Document Endorsing Ugochinyere Surfaces

As the Minority caucus of the House of Representatives almost choked Thursday’s plenary over the denial of Hon Philip Agbese’s endorsement of Hon IKenga Ugochinyere as Minority leader, a video of Hon. Philip Agbese signing his endorsement form for the position of Minority Leader of the House of Representatives has been released.

In the video, which was recorded on May 21, 2026, Agbese can be seen signing two forms.

Agbese had during plenary raised a point of privilege alleging that his signature was forged on a document nominating Hon. Ikenga Ugochinyere for the position of Minority Leader of the House of Representatives.

The denial and allegation of $50,000 inducement for 61 out of the 81 lawmakers making up the minority membership,created a rowdy and tense session of the House.
