Suspected political thugs on Tuesday morning set ablaze the Secretariat of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ekiti State
In a video posted on the ADC’s official Facebook page on Tuesday, the party confirmed that the incident happened early morning . Describing the act as cowardly, the party said the arsonists were people threatened by the growing popularity of the party.
“Our Party Secretariat was set ablaze this morning by those threatened by the rising momentum and formidable organisational structure that the Ekiti ADC is building.
“This cowardly act is most unfortunate, yet it will only fortify our determination and unity. The formidable Ekiti State ADC has come to stay,” the party said.
The party however vowed to continue with its activities
“Our spirit remains unbroken; our vision, unstoppable,” It added.
The ADC is made up of a coalition of opposition politicians working with intent to unseat the incumbent president, Bola Tinubu in 2027 .
