At least,three persons have been killed after an army of gunmen ambushed a convoy carrying expatriates and their police escorts to a mine site in Abia State.
According to a security analyst, Zagazola on Saturday, the gunmen shot dead three people including two Chinese and a police Inspector,Audu Saidu attached to 32 PMF in Abakaliki , Ebonyi State.
The incident was said to have occurred in the early hours of Friday, April 4,2025
The report further said that despite the unfortunate attack, the police gallantly saved three Chinese and two Police Inspectors who however, sustained gunshot injuries and are receiving treatment in a medical facility in Uturu.It said the whereabouts of another Police Inspector who was part of the convoy is unknown adding that search is ongoing to track his whereabouts.
