President Bola Tinubu will, on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, depart Lagos for Pretoria, South Africa, to attend the swearing-in of President Cyril Ramaphosa. A State House statement said on Monday.
President Ramaphosa won a new mandate following his country’s general election on 29 May.
Although his party won 159 out of 400 seats in Parliament, it has forged a ruling coalition with its old rivals, Democratic Alliance and the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP).
The coalition partners re-elected Ramaphosa in Parliament last Friday.
