The Oyo State Government has announced plans to take over an illegal Lithium Crushing Facility owned by a Chinese company located at Idi Arunre along the Ibadan – Ijebu Ode
Governor Seyi Makinde made the announcement when he visited the facility
He noted that the company was registered by the Federal Government for car tyre recycling and battery crushing.but were suspected to be involved in Lithium Production.
The governor said such an act was a breach of the recently signed executive order on illegal mining adding that the suspected Chinese Nationals have been linked with immigration officers while those found working on site are in police custody.
