The New Chairman of the Edo State All Progressives Congress APC Governorship Primary Election,Senator Bassey Otu, has announced direct primary election, in the 192 wards across the 18 local government areas of the state.
He disclosed this while addressing journalists in Benin City on Thursday.
Otu who doubles as the Governor of Cross River State replaced Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo following controversy in the conduct of
last Saturday’s primary election which was initially declared inconclusive.
The Cross River Governor emerged as the chairman of the Edo Primary Election committee which has Rabiu Suleiman as Secretary.
Other members include a former Osun State deputy governor, Mrs Titilayo Laoye-Tomori; APC’s flagbearer in the Plateau State 2023 governorship election, Nentanwe Goshwe; Umar Musa; and Lawan Garba .
