The Nigerian Labour Congress NLC and the Trade Union Congress TUC have suspended the nationwide strike.
Current matters learnt that the decision to suspend the industrial action followed an agreement reached at a joint National Executive Council (NEC) meeting between the leaders of the two unions after the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu’s intervention on Wednesday night.
Earlier, Ribadu had announced that those who brutalized the NLC president, Comrade Joe Ajaero in Imo have been arrested .
Ribadu’s disclosure it was gathered,was to seek an immediate end to the indefinite strike the organised Labour declared on Tuesday.November14.
