The face off between the Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu SAN and his Deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa appears to reach the point of zero harmony as the State Assembly begins the impeachment process against Aiyedatiwa
Aiyedatiwa is said to be under investigation over allegations bordering on gross abuse of office.
It was learnt that trouble started when Aiyedatiwa who acted as Governor when his principal was away for medical treatment began to take steps that suggested alleged financial recklessness and vaunting political ambition.
Akeredolu who came back from the over 3 months medical vacation
a couple of weeks ago, sacked the media aides of the Deputy Governor and reportedly governs Ondo from Ibadan.
Current matters gathered that the impeachment process is coming following an emergency plenary session summoned by the House of Assembly on Wednesday, with heavy presence of security men at the Assembly gate.
At least 23 lawmakers have already appended their signatures, supporting the impeachment notice against Aiyedatiwa, it was further learnt.
