Rivers retirees heave sigh of relief as Wike commences payment of Gratuity, Pension arrears 

Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has ordered commencement of payment of outstanding gratuities and monthly pension arrears to retirees in the state public service.

According to a circular signed by I. E. O Samuel and made available to the press on Tuesday, the payment which will be done in batches will begin with those who’ “retired up to June 2014. All the affected retirees and next of kin to deceased retirees under the batch are requested to come to the Ministry of Justice Conference Hall for physical verification form 15th- 23rd June,2022.

” They are to come with their retirement ID cards, and other relevant documents.”

The statement warned that the exercise is strictly for those covered under the first batch of June 2014.
