Erudite politician, Alhaji Buba Galadinma has told President Muhammadu Buhari to honour the agreement he made with All Progressives Congress APC leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on supporting him to succeed him in 2023
Galadinma who made the disclosure in an interview with the Punch said that the agreement was made when the Moslem Moslem ticket of Buhari for President and Tinubu for Vice was vehemently rejected.by stakeholders.
According to him, There was an understanding that Tinubu would deploy his resources to support Buhari to become President and that doing so would earn him ( Tinubu) the presidency at the end of Buhari’s tenure in 2023.
The elder statesman who noted that the promise appeared to be jettisoned called on the president not to go back on it He warned that reneging on the promise was tantamount to betrayal which is unacceptable to God.
” They said that whatever he does,he should deploy, and make sure that Buhari becomes President, and that when he ( Buhari) is going, he would also do whatever he would in his power to assist Tinubu become President. It looks like they are now going back on that understanding.And a promise is a promise whether written or unwritten.because if you can subvert it, God knows your heart. And God never accepts when you are committed, whether sour or bitter,or tasty,you have to swallow it” he said.
