Gunmen shoot traders, travellers in Enugu  to enforce sit- at- home.

Gunmen suspected to be members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra( IPOB) on Monday morning trooped to streets and markets in Enugu shooting sporadically to compel traders and travellers to sit- at- home

It was gathered that gunmen rose as early as 6:am to effect the order around the new market area of the state capital

IPOB sit- at- home every Monday has become a norm in the 5 states in the South East and reportedly affecting economy of the state as as school’s,shops, markets are always shut.

Several protests have been held and pleas made by owners of businesses and students to put an end to the forced stay home order but such pleas and protests only fell on deaf ears and protesters were either market for killing or given severe beating by IPOB

The Police Public Relations Officer of Enugu State,ASP Daniel Ndukwe confirmed the incident to reporters but said there was no record of death .
