The Air Officer Commanding Air Training Command (AOC ATC) of the Nigerian Air Force, Air Vice Marshal AO Jolasinmi, paid a courtesy visit to the Commandant of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Major General IM Yusuf, at the NDA Headquarters, on Wenesday 8th September 2021.
Speaking during the reception, AVM Jolasinmi disclosed that he was in the Academy to pay homage to his Alma Mata as well as to seek collaboration between the NDA and the Air Training Command (ATC) in the areas of security, training and others.
In a statement on Thursday, the NDA Public Relations Officer, Major Bashir Mohammed Jajira said that The AOC ATC commiserated with the Commandant NDA and the entire Academy community on the unfortunate breach of security of the Academy premises and the resultant loss of lives. He was very optimistic that perpetrators of the crime will sooner or later be brought to book. He stated that good will always triumph over evil, no matter how long it takes.
The statement disclosed that the Commandant NDA, Maj Gen IM Yusuf in his remarks, highlighted some of the recent security developments as well as measures being put in place in and around the Nigerian Defence Academy to further fortify the Academy. He stressed the need for continued collaboration with the ATC, 1 Division Nigerian Army and other security agencies in maintaining a secured environment.
The Commandant while appreciating the support of the Air Training Command to the Academy, described the synergy between NDA and NAF as very solid. He advocated for the sustenance of the existing robust collaborations.
