
Ogun State Commissioner for Health,Dr Tomi Coker says 35 NYSC members have tested positive for COVID-19.
Briefing newsmen on Thursday on the upsurge of the third wave of the pandemic, Coker said some of those who tested positive have been confined to the isolation centre while others are on home management.
She disclosed that the state has steadily recorded a rise in the number of COVID-19 cases, with a 6 fold increase in admission into the isolation center compared to what was recorded 2 months earlier.
The Commissioner expressed concerns about the small number of people that had been vaccinated pointing out that” Observation so far is that all mortalities are in the unvaccinated.”.
