Senator Uchendu gives Wike 7 days to retract comments made on Television

Former member of the National Assembly, Senator Andrew Uchendu has issued a 7 day ultimatum to Governor Nyesom Wike within which to retract comments made on African Independent Television (AIT), or face legal action.

Uchendu’s warning was in reaction to comments by the governor that he (Uchendu) was awarded contract to construct Mgbitanwo road in Emohua local government area of Rivers State by the Niger Delta Development Commission ( NDDC) but that he embezzled the money.

Wike had also said that he and the Senator were classmates.

The Senator debunked Wike’s claim of the contract award and being his classmate saying, all through his educational programs from County Grammar School, Ikwerre/ Etche, Hope Waddel Training Institute,Calabar, University of Ibadan, and the short programs in Havard and Oxford,he never met anybody by that name .

” Wike’s claims that he was my classmate is an honour he does not deserve because I know my classmates and they are respectable members of the society” he said.
