The All Progressives Congress APC says it is not in a hurry to hold the national convention slated in June , 2021
The Secretary of the National Caretaker/ Extraordinary/ Convention Committee, Senator John Akpanudoedehe told newsmen on Wednesday that while the commitee would work with the June deadline to hold the convention, it would not hesitate to approach the National Executive Committee ( NEC) of the party for a tenure extension if things do not go as planned
Akpanudoedehe said that the commitee would not release the timetable for the party’s Congresses until the ongoing nation-wide registration and revalidation are concluded.
He said the Committee is waiting for the conclusion of the exercise by the state chapters of the party before planning for the convention
