Gunmen suspected to be part of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) have shot dead a naval personnel , Farouk Yusuf.
Yusuf who hailed from Unguwan Sarki in Biu Local Government Area of Borno State was recently deployed to Onitsha, a commercial city in Anambra State.
The Police have reportedly launched a manhunt for his killers.
It was gathered that Yusuf was to get married a week to his death.
Anambra State has been in the news recently for the wrong reasons.
The state is becoming notorious for cult activities, killing, robbery amongst others.
On Sunday, the state Governor, Willie Obiano banned cultists and cult activities and also stopped the use of tinted windscreens and tout operations especially in Onitsha.
Obiano’s order followed the activities of cultists resulting in gruesome murder of some citizens
The ESN has also been fingered in wanton killing of uniformed men in the area
