Another Chinese National has been kidnapped in Ekiti state by unknown gunmen.
The unnamed expatriate was said to have been abducted ar Igbemo Ekiti,Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state on Tuesday night.
The Police Command who confirmed the abduction said the operatives of Rapid Response Squad (RRS) had launched a manhunt for his abductors.
In a statement, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Sunday Abutu said “the RRS swung into action immediately the news was broken.”
According to him,”they are combing all the surrounding bushes and we are sure that the abductee will be released soon.”
The victim was said to be one of the experts supervising the construction of Ilupeju- Ire- Igbemo- Ijan Ekiti road.
He was allegedly whisked away in attack by ambush at Igbemo Ekiti while driving in a hilux van .
The abduction is coming three months after a similar incident involving 3 Chinese nationals working on a governmentt road contract were attacked along the new Ado-Ekiti- Iyin road.
