A truck driver on Wednesday morning ,allegedly crushed 4 female hawkers to death at the Upper Iweka flyover in Onitsha, Anambra State.
The suspect who was driving a blue M/Benz truck with registration number XF 259 UNZ reportedly killed the petty traders while attempting to escape revenue collectors in the area.
The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr Andrew Kumapayi ,who confirmed the incident said the driver of the vehicle has been handed over to the police for further Investigation.
He said the FRSC rescue team, the Nigeriian Army and the Nigerian Police rescue the victims to Toronto hospital where they were confirmed dead by a Medical Doctor adding that their remains have been deposited at the hospital morgue..
