Nigeriian troops recover seized Borno communites killing scores of terrorists
Nigeriian Army troops have recovered New Marte and adjourning communites in Borno, killing scores of Boko Haram/ Islamic States West Africa Province (ISWAP).
Director,Army Public Relations,Brig.Gen. Mohammed Yerima,in a statement on Tuesday, said that the success was achieved on Tuesday at about 3.p.m.
Yerima disclosed that troops achieved the feat in less than 48 hours after the Chief of Army Staff,Man. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru,gave a 48 hours directive to the troops to recover the town.
According to him, the troops backed by air cover from the Nigeriian Air Force, successfully charged through Marte town, destroying several lmprovised Explosive Device (EIDs) and landmines laced across their routes.
He said the gallant troops killed scores of the terroriss and “are currently in total control of the general area “.
