A sixty five- year -old man identified as Uchechuku Nweke of Amunike village in Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra State has allegedly shot himself after killing his wife, Patricia Nweke and son, Obinna Nweke.
It was gathered that the Man who was a hunter fired his single – barrel gun, killed his wife and then set the house with his 29 year- old son on fire before taking his own life.
The reason for the action has yet to be ascertained however it was gathered that the incident occurred about 3 am on Thursday.
Spokesman of the state police command, Haruna Mohammed said Investigation has commenced while the bodies of the victims have been deposited at the Uche hospital, Isuanocha morgue after they were certified dead on arrival by a medical doctor at the hospital.
