The Presidential Task Force (PTF )on Covid-19 says the deadly UK Covid-19 variant called B1.1 .7 has found its way into the country with four positive cases.
PTF chairman,Boss Mustapha disclosed this on Monday, in Abuja at the national briefing on Covid-19 .
According to him, the variant had been found in a resident and three persons travelling out of the country .
The B 1.1.7 variant according to scientists ,spreads more easily and quickly and likely accounts for higher degree of mortality.
