The Ogun State Police have confirmed the drowning of a 14 – year- old boy Samson Folagbade in a hotel swimming pool at ljako,Sango Ota, Ogun State.
The Command’s Spokesman,Abimbola Oyeyemi disclosed on Sunday, that the remains of the deceased teenager had been deposited in a morgue to unravel the remote and immediate causes of death.
Folagbade had reportedly gone to the hotel with his friends on Christmas day to hang out before the tragic incident occurred.
The incident was said to have generated unrest in the area as some angry residents accused the hotel of negligence and threatened to vandalise the hotel before the police were alerted and consequently brought the situation under control.
