
The Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU has suspended its 9 month-old industrial action.
ASUU chairman, Biodun Ogunyemi disclosed this during a press briefing on Wednesday morning after months of heated negotiation between the Union and representatives of the federal government
ASUU began its Industrial action in March 2020, following failure of the federal government to meet their demands which included, approval of the University Transparency and Accountability Solution UTAS as alternative payroll system to the IPPIS..
Other demands included payment of salaries , other entitlements and funding of universities.
