The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission has mandated Power distribution companies to disconnect consumers who reject being metered.

In its latest regulatory order to the Discos,NERC said ‘Any customer that rejects the installation of a meter on their premises by (Disco) shall not be entitled to supply and must be disconnected to the network after the meter has been installed”

The directives which were signed by the NERC Chairman,James Momoh and a Commissioner,Dafe Ampeneye, took effect from November 1,2020.
