The Minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed says terrorism is a global problem and as such, Nigeria needed global support in sophisticated weapons needed to combat terrorism.
Mohammed who was reacting to the killing of the Borno farmers while speaking to reporters in Makurdi, after a meeting with Governor Samuel Ortom, said Nigeria had made attempt to acquire adequate weapons and platforms but had been denied, adding that the nation is at the mercy of the terrorists.
The Information Minister said the Borno incident was quite unfortunate but stated that terrorists used media and Publicity as strategy to strengthen their course noting that the Federal Government is doing its best in addressing the situation.
Mohammed was in the Benue capital for the official handing over of the Nigerian Institute of Hospitality and Tourism.
