The Federal Government has maintained its stand on Lekki incident saying there was no massacre of#EndSARS protesters.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed who disclosed this at a Press conference on Thursday in Abuja, condemned CNN’s#EndSARS report on Lekki and described it as irresponsible journalism adding that the International medium relied on unverified and doctored videos to make its report.
Mohammed said that what was being portrayed as massacre was a case of massacre without bodies.
The Minister who said the government was satisfied with the conduct of the military and security agencies during the#EndSARS protest said that the testimony of Brig-Gen Ahmed Ibrahim Taiwo before the Judicial Panel was compelling for those who listened to it or watched it.
He blamed the social media which he referred to as a tool used to guide arsonists and looters to certain properties and said that governmentt will go ahead to regulate the social media in the country.
