The EndSARS protests orchestrated for police reformation have created awareness across the country with different regions baring their minds on what affected them most for government to urgently address.
While in the South East,South West and South South it was police brutality, the North East,North West and North Central excluding the Federal Capital Territory FCT, see insecurity created by bandits and Boko Haram terrorists as their immediate problem.
Despite the threat to ban the demonstrations, protesters go on to protest until their demands are met.
A new twist was introduced by anti-EndSARS protesters in Abuja and Lagos on Wednesday and Thursday as the hoodlums wielding cutlasses and ‘Koboko’ (cane) stormed on protesters and caused injuries before they were intercepted, beaten and taken to the hospital while also notifying the police.
In Anambra,, protesters want justice for all those whose lives were wasted by SARS.Protesters particularly demanded that the Chief Security Officer of the Anambra government House be made to face the wrath of law
In Borno and Kaduna, the slogan’ is “End Insecurity now”,End Banditry now,””Stop the Killings in the North”
To them, SARS is a blessing than a curse as the men of the special anti- robbery squad compliments the role of soldiers, marching boko haram terrorists- with their strengths to achieve some level of security in the region.
Some of the Northern youths who took to the streets in Kaduna on Thursday ,demanded the immediate end to insecurity and accompanying vices in the north
According to them, the north is bleeding from the brutality of boko haram terrorists and bandits who kill innocent people at will,rape and abduct them adding “Enough is Enough”
